GELATINE

We offer bovine, porcine, fish and poultry Gelatine products. Our Gelatine is available from 80 to 300 Bloom and in sieve mesh from 6 to 30.

Crestchem gelatines have numerous useful characteristics, including their foaming, gelling, binding, thickening and emulsifying properties. These characteristics mean gelatine is an important element in the following applications:

  • Pharmaceuticals – tablets, micro encapsulation and for hard/soft capsules
  • Nutraceuticals – food supplements and energy drinks/bars
  • Food – confectionary products, ice creams, meat products

PECTIN

Crestchem’s Pectin is naturally derived from citrus peel. We can supply a wide range of High Methoxyl (HM) Pectin and Low Methoxyl (LM) Pectin.

Used in a wide range of products – fruit-based foods, jellies, marmalades, jams, confectionery, and yoghurts, Pectin is also suitable for use in certain savoury applications such as sauces, gravies, and dressings.

Pectin thickens to achieve the desired texture or set of the end product. In certain applications, adding pectin will improves flavour release.

It can also be used as a stabiliser in fruit flavoured dairy-based drinks, and is widely used in the dessert industry as a topping or glaze.
